Actor spotlight: Landon Wasem to star in duo shows

Page Parkes Talent's Landon Wasem just wrapped his role as James in one of the first episodes of ABC’s drama THE DEEP END, set to premiere during the 2009-2010 season.

He plays a 20s, attractive, preppy & affluent-looking collegiate. His fiancé is accused of cheating in a tennis match and is in jeopardy of losing her scholarship. James doesn't believe for a minute that Hannah would cheat. He is very supportive by accompanying her to lawyer appointments and comforting her when she falls victim to cruel dorm mates.

"The Deep End" is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television and is currently being shot in Dallas, Texas.

But that's not all...Landon also landed a contract role as Kenny Olson on the Friday Night Lights series on DirectTV. The new season began airing a few weeks back. He plays a JV football player moving up to tryout for the Varsity team.

We can't wait to see what's next for Landon!

Marcus DeAnda to appear on SciFi Network

Marcus DeAnda from Page Parkes' Talent Division just wrapped shooting a role on UNEARTHED, a TV movie scheduled for regional release on the SciFi network.

The movie is based on a group of explorers who set off to find an ancient Spanish dagger in the uncharted jungles of Colombia. Funded by a wealthy collector, the team bribes the local warlord, giving them a 24-hour window to get in and get out. Everything goes as planed until they remove the dagger from its tomb unleashing an attack by never before seen Native Warriors. Separated, the team struggles to survive but the Natives are the least of their problems. The deeper they get, the more the sinewy vines of the Jungle come to life, and they have an unquenchable thirst for blood...

We'll keep you posted when it airs, so you can be sure to leave the lights on for this one!

Star watch: Chelsea Ricketts

Chelsea is one of our oldest alums, believe it or not.

The sprite brunette has been with Page Parkes since she was... TWO YEARS OLD.

She's currently in LA, pounding the pavement and turning up in guest starring roles in shows like Lincoln Heights, CSI: Miami, Grey's Anatomy, and lately on Melrose Place!

Stay tuned for an interview...check back on the blog later this week!

Congrats to Liam Horgan: A little star in the making!

Liam Horgan from the Woodlands just booked a Cook Children’s Hospital Commercial.

He will be a featured little dancer! No big surprise they casted him, with that infectious smile...Stay tuned...

Page Parkes Corp. gets a shout out in Wall Street Journal!

CHECK IT OUT! PPM makes national news!

The Wall Street Journal mentions PAGE PARKES CORP. in an article about child modeling and "How Tough Times Yield Model Children".

Reporter ANJALI ATHAVALEY writes, "Also contributing to the growing number of mini-models are reality-TV shows featuring children, agencies say. Such shows have transmitted the culture of fame-seeking; some shows—"Toddlers and Tiaras" and "Little Miss Perfect"—even follow the lives of child pageant contestants. Page Parkes Corp., a talent agency in Houston, Texas, is just one of the agencies seeing more interest from parents who want their children to be on television. Separately, modeling and acting jobs have become increasingly open to many ethnicities, encouraging a broader swath of families, such as Latinos and Asians, to pursue careers in entertainment."
