Congrats Shantel VanSanten on Final Destination success!

Shantel VanSanten, one of our brightest alums, scored big this past weekend and came out on top at the Hollywood box office! She has a starring role in The Final Destination which opened on Friday and the horror flick pulled in $28.3 million to make it NUMBER ONE! We can proudly say we knew her when -- she got bitten by the acting bug during our Page Parkes annual AGENT REVIEW in Houston in 2005!

Page Parkes gets some local air time! From Houston to Hollywood!

Fox 26 News in Houston did a special report on some famous faces to come out of Page Parkes, specifically highlighting Alexis Bledel (currently seen in the movie Post Grad) and Shantel VanSanten (whose horror flick Final Destination 4 releases this week).

Go TABITHA!!!

Dear Friends and Family:

I hope this e-mail finds you doing well! As you know, my husband, Bob and myself are avid supporters of Child Advocates, Inc, a leading organization in the ongoing fight against child abuse. I currently serve on the board of directors, and three of our beautiful children were adopted from foster care. This cause is very near and dear to our hearts and because Child Advocates, Inc. does such a great job in making a difference in the lives of children in foster care, I would like you to join us in supporting the "25 for 25 Campaign."

In celebration of the volunteers who have served abused children through Child Advocates over the last 25 years, the 25 for 25 Campaign hopes to reach as many people as possible who will each make a $25 donation and ask at least 25 others to do the same.

Remember, for $25 you can fill your car with gas, get a manicure or take your date to the movies! But with that very $25 you can also provide a court appointed advocate to an abused child for one week! In fact, if you combine that gift with the donations of 25 other friends or family members, you can help a child find a safe and PERMANENT home! Together we can make a difference, and maybe one day, they will return the favor.

For additional information, and to donate, please click here.

Thank you for your continued support!

With love,
Page and Bob

Kalyn Hemphill on Project Runway and spin-off tonight!

Page 713 alum Kalyn Hemphill gets double billing tonight on Lifetime!

First as one of the models on the new season of PROJECT RUNWAY, followed by a feature appearance on its newest spin-off MODELS OF THE RUNWAY, which turns the cameras on the girls walking the catwalk for the new season of PR.

We caught up with Kalyn via email!

HOW DID YOU GET INTO MODELING?
I have always loved performing and started doing musical theatre when I was eight years old with my first production, “The Sound of Music”, in Lake Jackson, Texas. I was in tons of shows around the Houston area with Masquerade Theatre and TUTS, as well as taking every class I could in acting, singing and dancing. When I was 14, 5 foot 9 and rail thin, I decided to give modeling a try after many people urged me to, because I figured it went hand in hand with performing. I went through the Page Parkes School and soon after, joined the agency. I modeled and acted all through high school and graduated a year early from Brazoswood High School. After an amazing theatre internship in Colorado, I moved to New York after signing with an agency and have been here ever since, modeling, performing in theatre, acting in commercials and TV work.

FAVORITE MEMORIES WHEN YOU WERE MODELING FOR PAGE IN HOUSTON?
Page, Erik, Tabitha, Michelle and the whole team of people involved with the school and agency, have always been so incredibly supportive and amazing. I feel so blessed to be with such a wonderful agency that cares deeply about not just my career, but about me as a person. Some of my favorite memories were attending Agent Review, my first magazine cover with 002 Houston, and working on all the fun runway shows around the Houston area.

HOW DID YOU GET ON PROJECT RUNWAY?
I went on a casting for the show last July and there were hundreds of girls there from every agency in New York. I thought there was no way I would ever make it on the show, but after walking for them and showing my book, I got a call back. I did an hour-long interview on camera the next day, then after a long process that included psychological testing, tons of paperwork and lots of phone calls, I received news that I was one of the 16 girls selected for the show.

WHAT CAN YOU DIVULGE ABOUT BEING ON A TOP REALITY SHOW?
It was such an amazing experience to see behind the scenes on Project Runway and get to know such wonderful, talented people, both designers and models. It was stressful sometimes being filmed 24/7, but I had so much fun.

WHAT'S NEXT ON YOUR PLATE?
My goal has always been to be a successful performer who is able to influence people for good. I hope that I have many other opportunities after the show both in modeling and in areas where I can capitalize on my other talents. I am a very proactive person when it comes to my career, so I am already looking into new representation in NY and LA, building a website, and being sure I am at the top of my game with all of my training and materials. It has been an amazing journey so far and I am only 20 years old, so there is so much more to come...I can’t wait!

NEITHER CAN WE KALYN! Good luck and catch Kalyn every Thursday night on Lifetime on Project Runway AND Models of the Runway. Let's hope she doesn't get Auf'ed!!!

Ready for action: Channing Tatum featured in Elle

One of our Page alums CHANNING stars in the new action epic G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra!

Fave quote in a story in the new Sept. issue of ELLE magazine...

"I'm just starting to wrap my head around how to become a real character...I used to think you always had to be doing something, literally moving, to stay interesting. I'm working on stillness."

Newsflash! Will Schutze signs with Osbrink in LA!

WILL JUST SIGNED WITH OSBRINK! Osbrink reps bright stars like Dakota Fanning. This is our second placement with the hot LA talent agency (Dulce Rosales signed last month).

We caught up with Will, who just moved to LA only a month ago, for a quickie Q&A:

WHEN DID YOUR ACTING CAREER START?
I started acting after I saw the movie Hook with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman when I was 5 years old. I adapted the film for the stage, recast it with all the other neighborhood kids, completely changed the story and after some very chaotic rehearsals put on my own production on the front porch of my parents' house. I gathered the entire neighborhood in lawn chairs so we had a pretty good sized audience. Actually, before all that I wore a cape everyhwere I went and pretended I was batman so I guess I've really been acting since I was 3. In my first school production, I played the murderer in Edgar Allen Poe's Tell Tale Heart in the 8th grade.

YOU'VE BEEN IN LA FOR ONLY A SHORT PERIOD. HOW'S IT GOING?
LA is exciting! It's just how I imagined it would be. Everyone seems to be working hard on something they believe in. Everyone I meet is very passionate about what they're doing. I also do puppet shows on Venice Beach. It's already become the place I go to clear my head (and make some cash while I'm at it).

HOW DID YOU GET SIGNED WITH OSBRINK?
I've heard that so many people come who come out here have a lot of trouble getting representation. Page Parkes really helped me jump a hurdle on that one. I don't even know how I would have gone about it without (PP talent director) Guillermo Perez getting me an interview with Osbrink as soon as I arrived in LA. It happened pretty quickly. When he called me and said they wanted to sign me I couldn't believe it. But the work has just begun. Osbrink wants me to enroll in some pretty rigorous workshops out here. So we'll see what happens.

WHAT'S NEXT ON YOUR PLATE?
My plan is to work hard. I have the opportunity to do what I love and I'm going to make the best of it. I'm actually signing my contracts on Wednesday of next week so no gigs yet--just the puppet show and a short film I'm working on with some friends.

FAVORITE PROJECT SO FAR?
An NFL commercial filmed by Emmanuel Lubezki. He was the Director of Photography on two of my favorite films, Children of Men and Y Tu Mama Tambien.

Elite's newest face: SAVANNAH PHILLIPS

The Elite team is working their magic developing one of our brightest stars, Savannah Phillips! One of our fave Page girls got scooped up after attending our annual Agent Review and she's already gone up to New York for shoots and castings! We'll keep you posted on what's going on with our leggy Elite star!
