Page Parkes NEW FACES party with designer Annebet Duvall

New York-based designer Annebet Duvall got her start at Page Parkes as a model when she was 14! Fast forward: Now she's one of the hottest designers making major waves in the industry. The bubbly 29-year old co-designs girly line DOUCETTE DUVALL with business partner Stephanie Doucette and their colorful looks have been featured in everything from Women's Wear Daily to Italian Vogue!

The Page Parkes crew (along with Modern Luxury magazine) teamed up with her for a huge NEW FACES runway event at The GHOSTBAR in the W hotel in Dallas. Girl models were outfitted in Doucette Duvall designs, while boys donned long sleeves and charming bow ties.

We caught up with her really quick:

So you used to model for Page Parkes?
I grew up in Harker Heights and signed with Page when I was just 14! I graduated from UT!

How did you get involved with this event?
Well, Page called me and said she was doing a New Faces event and we decided to dress the girls in Doucette Duvall. I will come back to Texas for any reason. I usually come back four times a year. I love visiting my mom because she is the best worker, she works for free!

What's next on your plate?

We just finished our next collection and doing a show in New York. We're also hosting an event with VOGUE. The collection is kind of a little surfer, beach baby, elegant, high heel kind of way.

What kind of gals where your line?
My mother is 60 and wears it. My partner Doucette is 38 and I am 29. It's ageless, for confident women who are willing to make a statement. Our line is kind of girly with a fun touch of femininty for sure.

Also spotted the event? Clients and reps from JC Penney, D Magazine, The Dallas Morning News and many of Dallas' casting A-listers including supermodel JAN STRIMPLE!

Ashlee Disney gets spotlighted on "Fashion Does It Better"

On the FASHION DOES IT BETTER blog:

"We heard about a new face at Trump from photographer Bradford Gregory. We heard about incredible potential and saw powerful pictures. We heard the camera just loves her and we saw she might like the camera as well. Ashlee Disney is the new one to keep in mind at the agency, she's got that playful 5'11"5 (181) silhouette that doesn't leave any room to doubts. Facts and figures in the same package and the little extra touch that makes the whole story incredible: she looks both so strong and so fragile, glowing yet baring a subtle dark side. Another brunette with thick brown eyebrows (and gorgeous blue eyes), another unique one."

Another Agent Review success story!!!

Page does New York: Dinner with Kevin Hess

Page continues to plow through New York and visits models, agents and old friends, including notable photographer (and former Page model) Kevin Hess:

"Kevin started with me as model 25 years ago. He later started his photography career in Dallas and moved to LA to photograph pop stars like Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Amy Smart and Shannon Elizabeth -- who actually got her start with me in Dallas. His work can be seen regularly through out the entertainment and beauty industry. Now I call him to see Page Parkes models that are living in New York. One of his big name clients include Stila Cosmetics! We enjoyed dinner and will soon join up for r&r at my lake home in Austin where Kevin's family lives! Great fun!"

Congrats to Caine Cambron!

One of our brightest models Caine welcomed a new baby boy Evan Canon Cambron.
Here's guessing that this baby boy will grow up to be as beautiful as his dad!

Talent flash: Dulce Rosales powers her way in LA!

Congrats to Dulce who recently just moved to LA and just signed with The Osbrink Agency, who also reps Dakota Fanning!

She was first discovered by Page talent director Guillermo Perez at REACT Studios in Dallas. He divulges:

"I sat in on a scene study class at REACT and Dulce went up and did a scene where she was breaking up with her boyfriend. She was so natural and didn’t force any of her emotions, she really caught my attention. I thought she was already signed with an agency here in town but lo and behold she wasn’t with anyone! I called her in for an audition and offered her a contract right away."

Good decision! The lovely Latina works with local acting coach Nancy Chartier and is also fluent in Spanish. BUENO! Watch out JLO, this one started her career dancing too -- as a former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader!

The 16 women vie to be paired with the winning designer of "Project Runway" for a $25,000 cash prize from L’Oreal Skin Genesis and a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine.

Let's hope Heidi doesn't "Auf" Kalyn too quick.

One-on-One with Ashlee Disney

One of our newest and brightest stars from Houston is skyrocketing to the top! Ashlee Disney met with agents at our annual Agent Review last month and is now in New York, meeting clients and working on shoots! It's been a whirlwind rush for the 19 year old who ended up singing with TRUMP MODELS. The small town girl from Dayton, Texas is now pounding the pavement in New York and testing with the heavy hitters like KEVIN SINCLAIR who's shot top faces like Karlie Kloss and Arlenis and for edgy Marie Claire and Lucire editorials.

We caught up with Ashlee via email to get the scoop:

HOW DID YOU GET INTO MODELING?
Around the end of December '08. I've wanted to model since for as long as I can remember. Once I got married and had my son, I thought the dream was even closer to being just that .. a dream. A friend of mine and fellow model, Niece Waidhofer, told me about a website for models & photographers called modelmayhem.com. She said it was great for finding work with freelance photographers around my area. I worked with several Houston freelance photographers including, JJ Bonde (a former model from Page Parkes) & Tony Aria. One of the photographers I mentioned earlier put a word in for me with Page.713 in Houston and Voila! I got signed & started the biggest journey of my life! I ended up getting me great work in Houston, including: Great Day Houston on Channel 11, a fashion show with Zac Posen, & an informal for Versace.

SO YOU WERE ATTENDING PAGE PARKES AGENT REVIEW AND GOT SIGNED THAT QUICKLY?
The experience I gained at Agent Review was the best. I met so many models along with the agents from around the world. I was really excited to see how much my hard work had paid off. It takes lots of preparation & commitment to pull it off. The look, the personality, & the talent. That's all I kept telling myself on my way to the event, stay strong, think about everything you do, & make a good impression. I wasn't so much nervous, as I was excited. I had been preparing for a while for that big day, I had to walk in there with confidence to succeed. Page has given myself & so many other models & actors such a great opportunity. Without Agent Review, I wouldn't be spending most of my summer in New York. It was a positive career move for me.

HOW IS NEW YORK TREATING YOU? HOW DID YOU DECIDE TO SIGN WITH TRUMP?
WOW! New York is beautiful! I had the unbelievable honor of meeting with Wilhelmina, IMG, Trump Models, FORD, & Elite. Every agency was so great -- I could see myself loving each one, so the decision was pretty difficult. Each one had a different lay out with how they would manage me & my career. I did a ton of research on each & every single agency to get any inside scoop I could find. In the end, I chose to go with Trump for many reasons. As a model, I think the best choice is an agency you feel most comfortable with. If you walk in, & everyone treats you like family, THAT is the place to be. And, that's exactly how I felt with Trump! In my case, being a mother & a wife, my career would take special attention & understanding. Trump put their foot forward & showed me I had no worries. The fact that I shouldn't have to choose between either my family or modeling, & instead be able to have both, was mind blowing. I was super excited! From what I'm told, I should be pretty busy this summer. This summer is going to be full of fashion & frenzy for me. I just can't explain how excited I am! My biggest goal right now is Fashion Week. So, keep your fingers crossed for me!

HOW DID STARTING OUT AT PAGE PARKES HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE MAJOR LEAGUES IN NEW YORK?
Being a Page Parkes model has been a truly great part of my life. I'm overwhelmed with all the success this agency has helped me achieve & I couldn't be happier. Tabitha, the fashion director here at Page.713 has been such a blessing. She was once a model, & that is something that I'm very glad for. Page herself has helped me out a lot with the whole "agency decision" situation by giving me advice & answering questions I have. Without the entire Page Parkes team behind me, I don't know where I'd be at this moment in my career. I certainly wouldn't be where I am now, this soon! They have given me the chance to shine & show everyone just how talented I really am. The true me. =) HOPEFULLY YOU'LL SEE ME IN VOGUE SOON, & SAY, "THERE'S ASHLEE, OUR STAR!"

NEW TEST: Kyla Blue

Elite in New York has been keeping Kyla super busy with building her book and sending her out on major go-sees! Here's a shot by photographer Howard Schatz, a noted NY lensman who's surreal photos have been found in major museums. His specialty? Shooting under water...
